چکیده

In this paper, we derive analytical expressions describing spectral and mutual densities of random processes by performing Fourier transform the corresponding correlation functions. On basis accepted for functions differentiable processes, density components, which is a complex frequency function, are derived. The influence on functions, densities, components (real, imaginary, amplitude, phase) parameters presented. Plots obtained using have showed full convergence with those direct integration expression function. given in paper may be used investigating various processes. particular, reciprocal can approximation experimentally received including equivalent geometrical irregularities rail track fluctuations vehicle. such an generation analogous experimental multidimensional tasks mathematical modelling.

Densities, spectral densities and modality

This paper considers the problem of specifying a simple approximating density function for a given data set (x1, . . . , xn). Simplicity is measured by the number of modes but several different definitions of approximation are introduced. The taut string method is used to control the numbers of modes and to produce candidate approximating densities. Refinements are introduced that improve the l...

Behaviour of the spectral factorization for continuous spectral densities

Spectral factorization plays an important role in many applications such as Wiener filter design, prediction, and estimation. It is known that spectral factorization is a non-continuous mapping on the space of all non-negative continuous functions, satisfying the Paley-Wiener condition. Additionally, it will be shown in this paper that every continuous spectrum is a discontinuity point of the s...

Distances between power spectral densities

We present several natural notions of distance between spectral density functions of (discrete-time) random processes. They are motivated by certain filtering problems. First we quantify the degradation of performance of a predictor which is designed for a particular spectral density function and then used to predict the values of a random process having a different spectral density. The logari...

Spectral Factorization of Non-Rational Matrix-Valued Spectral Densities

Recently, a necessary and sufficient uniform log-integrability condition has been established for the canonical spectral factorization mapping to be sequentially continuous. Under this condition, if a sequence of spectral densities converge to a limiting spectral density then the canonical spectral factors of the sequence converges to the canonical spectral factor of the limiting density. Howev...

Spectral Learning of Refinement HMMs

We derive a spectral algorithm for learning the parameters of a refinement HMM. This method is simple, efficient, and can be applied to a wide range of supervised sequence labeling tasks. Like other spectral methods, it avoids the problem of local optima and provides a consistent estimate of the parameters. Our experiments on a phoneme recognition task show that when equipped with informative f...
